Over the past 20 years, Steve and Sceptre Construction have undertaken many projects for us ranging from a small single story extension to the new build of 2,700 sq. foot family home (completed in 2015). The fact that we have continued our longstanding relationship with Steve and Sceptre is a testament to our view of how easy Steve is to deal with, his reliability and the quality of the workmanship that we have received.

All of the projects (total 5) have been managed well and we have been delighted with the final outcome. Sceptre has been able to adopt an engaged approach and was willing to discuss and explore potential solutions and alternatives with us an employer/client. A significant strength of Steve is that he is able to draw on his wealth of industry experience when considering a project and never loses sight of what is achievable, the client budget and how the final build will look. Finally, Sceptre Construction has always been willing to “pop back” to look at aspects of finished work that may require adjustment or finesse when everyday use differs from what was intended in the planning and construction phase. We would be delighted to show any potential clients considering undertaking a project with Sceptre the quality and workmanship of our new house.

We have now engaged Sceptre Construction twice and quite simply they are quality, the standard of tradesman they use are excellent so take a bow David, Steve, Chris, Derek, Shaun, Mick, Mark, Dan and not forgetting the plasterer’s whom we did not meet but deserve a mention. They are reliable and always communicate with you with regards to the next steps during the project never leaving you in the dark, always willing to help and advise you during the build. Alison Edmunds – Crawley

When I decided to have some work done on my house I had no idea where to start. I asked two friends who had recently had work done on their own homes if they would recommend their builder. They both immediately said yes, both gave me the same name. So I contacted Sceptre and Steve came and listened to my plans, made a few suggestions and put me in touch with an architect. From then on everything moved at my pace, no pressure. But when work started it was like a whirlwind. Everyone was polite, punctual and cheerful. they explained everything and cleared up at the end of the day. The finished result is amazing, better than I imagined. The workmanship is excellent. It really wasn’t the traumatic experience I was expecting; and well worth it for the results I got.

P.S. They do like home-made cakes

We were very pleased with the quality build and all trades performed to a high standard and the work was started and completed within the estimated time, despite some very wet weather at times.

Brenda was sorry she did not thank you personally for your last visit but did thank David and Craig when they had completed the floor laying and site clear up.

The job remained within budget and any small complications which arose were always dealt with in an efficient and thorough manner which was always done at a fair price.

The build always remained on schedule and I appreciate your input with design/use of materials ideas. The trades you brought on site were always professional, tidy and courteous.
